Who Are You, Who, Who, WHO, WHO!

No parties mentioned, no pictures, not even a voice... Imagine if you can the illusion of choice, not being an illusion. Imagine a two party system, being a truly diverse group and more than just two parties. You don't know if you are voting for a female, or male. You don't know if this person ethnically has ancestrial background from Africa, Asia, Latin origins, or if they're from the Middle East! All you know is that they have posts expressing their beliefs. You have candidate number one, through twenty-one. No more to go on, just what they believe, and what they are willing to try and accomplish to make this nation a better one. Kinda like Jesus being a baby. You don't have people looking for the Black baby, or the White baby, a tan baby, or a pale baby, you have them looking for the kid from Nazareth. So why can't they look for the fair skinned kid among these dark skinned Egyptians!? The same reason you couldn't tell that Moses was Hebrew rather than Egyptian. It is a time where skin tone is just that, skin tone, nothing more, nothing less. A time where what you claimed you were, was what you were. So let's not make this about just race... Lets make it about party as well. No GOP, no Dems, just a bunch of kids from every livable continent on the planet, ready to get together, play, and have fun. It works for the kids, but as adults we find too many closed minds, and not enough like minds. Now don't get me wrong, diversity is good, and checks and balances are good too. Balanced, not one side attempting to bring the scales level with pulling the high side down with evil. And let's hear about all death, not just one group, and let's talk about all sin, not just one area, and see who is right for the job. Then we can ask who it is we voted for, and who we chose to hate... Yes hate, because that's what the imperfect Christian has witnessed from many over the last three years...

  1. But Mr. I.C., can you ever remember a time in American Presidential politics when at least a fair number of the losers *haven't* hated the winner?

I remember the bumper stickers hating on W, and I remember the talk show hosts calling Bill and Hillary Ahab and Jezebel (!) I remember George Sr., but was young enough to be blissfully ignorant of the haters - thankfully!

But at least as long as I've been paying attention, there has been continuous hate. That's a factor in my overall burnout with our process...

  2. I would have to agree with you Daniel. I also agree that the hate is continuous, and more than likely will stay it's course. TO cross reference scenarios, you may hear some old timers here in the South say, "They even spoke wrongly of Jesus Christ!" People tried for years, and are still trying to find a way to condemn Billy Graham. Not to confuse Dr. Graham, or Jesus as political figures or for one another, but it's a like scenario as far as hate is concerned. Even within the Graham camp, some say that Franklin (Billy's son) is too over the top, and those that enjoy Franklin's use of the ministry say that Billy was too soft. Many criticize Jimmy Carter in a like fashion concerning passiveness. The opposition said that Jimmy was soft, and that his family was dysfunctional, because of brother Billy Carter. Billy did have some problems (alcohol being a major one), and President Carter did his best to avoid war, this much is true. But the imperfect Christian wouldn't personally hate him for not going to war. Although, the imperfect one believes that defensive tactics, and engagement is necessary. Bill Clinton actually cheated on his wife and taught us as a nation, how to use word play at its finest! i was in awe by how many young people adored him for that! It left the less impressed with wanting to impeach him, because they felt that President Clinton could no longer be trusted. Hmmm, wonder why they would think that. Lol! President Bush the latter actually flipped people off on camera, used foul language, and said that he didn't care about the approval ratings, or what people said, because he was the President, and he would do what he wanted. President Obama said that he would like to have our troops out of Iraq in 18 months or better after taking office, and he didn't quite make it, but he did produce a long form birth certificate, Not saying that he's faultless, or that the imperfect one agrees with all of his policies, but I would have to say that more false allegations have been brought against him, than any other President that I have ever been privileged to observe. JFK had his Marilyn Monroe, among other mishaps. President Kennedy was the first non-Protestant (all the others may not have been in the usual sense, but Kennedy was deemed the first) to take the Office, but never questions of his citizenship. The people of opposition didn't even question his faith, they just didn't like the fact he was not Protestant. Hate is hate, and I agree with you that most of the opposition manifest hate in every election, and then when it's all over, they lie and say that it's just politics and it's nothing personal. However, given the information that you gave to the imperfect one in person about Mr. Kucinich, I am going to have to make adjustments and clarify the blind ballot proposal... Thank you for the comment, and the insight, it is always appreciated and helpful.
